Finally in Ohio

We finally made it to Ohio. We had a great adventure, it all started with packing up our house in about half an hour then a 10 hour drive to Colorado, where we spent 2 whole days with my parents swimming and having a fun party with extended family oh and making really great jelly with Cactus Pear. We then went back on the road for another 10 hours to Iowa. There we ate dinner with my Grandma and Grandpa Dixion, and spent some time with some cousins. Were back on the road at 7:30Am for yet another days drive this time it was about a 14 hour drive. We were so tired that we went strait to bed after a late dinner. The next day we went to the Zoo in Columbus and had my first maple cream bar made by some amish people. That day we headed up to Kent which was only a 2 hour drive. During this whole time Taylor was a trooper he only complaned a little and puked only once, which happened to be the longest drive of the trip though. Pictures will be posted later.

Kent State

Today Chris was checking his email while I was getting Taylor ready for the day, and all of the sudden I hear this weird noise coming from the living room. So of course I rush into the living room to see what was going on and see Chris on the couch with a huge smile on his face gasping, confused I asked him what was going on then he lets it all out shouting for joy. "I GOT ACCEPTED TO KENT STATE, WE ARE FINALLY MOVING TO OHIO." Needless to say Ohio here we come.

Our Iittle Helper

This past Saturday we were pruning our tree in the front yard, so we borrowed some of our neighbors sleds to bring the branches to our back yard. As we were filling them up Taylor decided that he wanted to help, so he picked up the string and started to fallow me, it was the cutest thing ever.

Working in the Yard

So last month we had one good week of warm weather. So during that week we decided to work in our yard. We managed to get a mini excavator and fill in the hole in our backyard that was placed there by the previous owners which included a fire pit at the bottom of it. (personally I don't know why someone would put a fire pit at the bottom of an incline when they have a toddler.) Taylor really in joyed playing with his dad on the excavator. We also mulched our flower gardens by the house. As you can see they looked beautiful. I say looked because the weeds were so strong that they have punched through all of the mulch and now I have weeds everywhere, and when I pick them the next week I have twice as many it seems like. grrr. Oh well I love weeding anyways.
That same week Chris decided to make a new mailbox. We get compliments on it all of the time now.

Taylor's 1st Birthday

So on Feb. 7 it was Taylor's first birthday but we didn't celebrate it until the 14th because my
parents came up from Colorado. Taylor injoyed his cake which was the front part of an airplane.

It was really cute but then all the kids got their own cake and the adults got the cool cake (it was a cake that had a runway with an airplane on it and a tower as well. way cool).
Taylor got lots of things for his birthday and played with all of them his favorit by far is his radio flyer. He likes to sit on it with his lags tucked onto the tale and then make a sound like he is flying so of course we have to push him.
He also got an airplane swing his Papa Dave, Great Uncle Danon and Uncle Nick made for him.

Our new Couch

So with our tax return we decided to get a new couch and everyone has been asking to see it so here it is.

Pizza Anyone

So about a month ago, a regular at the craze came in and asked Chris to make him a pizza that had enough pepperoni and Cheese on it to cost $50. So Chris said to give him about a weeks worth of time just to figure out how he was going to do it and to order all of the toppings that it required. I told Chris that I didn't want to be there on that day and that he better make them sign some weavers saying that if they died or had a hard-a-tack it wasn't The Craze's or Chris's fault. So last week or so the kid came back and Chris made the pizza and of course it just happened to be the only day that week that I went into The Craze. And this is what it looked like. it was 39 slices of pepperoni high in the thickest part of the pizza. The group that ordered the pizza also made Chris eat a slice so Chris ate a little sliver compared to everyone else.

playing catch up yet again

I am so sorry that I am so bad at this but I am trying to work on it. So a few things have happened since last time.
My First Quilt
So this year I decided to make a quilt for Chris and I just to see how fun it would be. Well it was a lot of fun and I am excited to make another one. The quilt didn't turn out perfict but it was good for my first try. Anyways here are some pictures of it.
Christmas Was A Big One.
We really injoyed Christmas in our new home, we didn't get to do every thing that we wanted to such as the nativity because Chris had to work on Christmas Eve, but we did get an early Christmas presant because Chris was able to come home early that night and then he got to come home early on Christmas as well.
Taylor loved all of his gifts and he loves the fisher price doodleing toy from Phoebe, he plays with it every day. He also loves his toys that he got from his grandparents. I think his favorit toy this year would be his piano that his Grandma and Grandpa Hargadin gave him.
Fun At The Craze
Another fun thing that we did was put Taylor inside one of the games at The Craze Fun Zone and pretended like we were trying to get him. Taylor loved sitting with all of the toys looking out at mommy and Daddy.
