catching up

We have had a crazy month and a half. There are so many things that have gone on.

First of all Halloween was great I dressed up as Amelia Airhart, Chris as a General, and Taylor as a Pilot. We went Trick or Treating for the first time together as a family and had a blast even though it was only for 5 houses.

Chris finally had a three day weekend so we took off and went down to Utah to visit my sister Sara and while we were down there we tied my quilt that I am making. I only have a little left to do but it should be done this week and I will post a picture of it once it is completed. While we were down in Utah we visited Karyn and Andy and the girls. It was great to see them again and to meet Andy's family. While we were there we ate a Thanksgiving dinner it was tasted great and the company was wonderful.

Also while we were down in Utah we went to Hill Air force Base, that was a lot of fun and Chris actually got to climb into the Black Bird, we also got to go into a huge helicopter

When we got back the next day was Thanksgiving, so it a fun full day of cooking to bad my rolls didn't rise again (something is going on with my yeast I think). The only bad thing about Thanksgiving day was that Chris and Ben both had to work, so we ate our pie at the Craze fun Zone. Oh and Taylor was sick on Thanksgiving so he couldn't eat mashed potatoes or stuffing.

Chris's Birthday and Our 2 Year Anniversary

So it has been a busy month and I haven't been able to post anything but here is what has been going on in our lives lately.

Chris had his 25Th birthday on Sept 25, and we trough him a surprise birthday party the fallowing Monday. We had hamburgers, hot dogs cooked on our fire pit in our back yard, and cake that I made myself . (It had two layers and had Cherry filling, with a chocolate cake mix, topped with freshly whipped whip cream with cream cheese in it, and some cherries on top.) It was a blast.

I am also the Assistant Bear Den Leader, Which has been fun today we had the Idaho Falls Zoo come to us and we got to pet a few animals that came form the Zoo. My favorite was the Chinchilla I had never seen one up close before so that was interesting.

I have also been babysitting lately I get paid $3.00 an hour or if I want to I can just switch off babysitting with her meaning Jamie (the mom) will watch Taylor sometimes and will not have to pay me for the time I watch her son (his name is Conner) which is really nice FREE BABYSITTER HECK YES!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, Taylor and Conner have a lot of fun together though. Even though they get in fights over Binky's. Seriously they will both have a Binky in their mouth and they will take each others out and try and keep theirs at the same time. Why they do this I have no clue but, they seem to get along with each other when they are playing so that is fun.

The Best and the Longest Anniversary Ever

So our two year anniversary was this year on October 12. It actually landed on a Monday so Chris had the day off. The sad part was that the place we wanted to go eat at Stockmans was closed on Mondays, so we started our anniversary a little early and had it go throughout the whole weekend. So on Saturday we went to Stockmans but, left a little to early and got there one hour before it opened. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I still hadn't gotten Chris an anniversary gift yet, so we decided to hit up a few yard sales while we where waiting. The first one we went to there was a flight jacket that originally cost $300 there and we only paid $40. for it, and it fits him perfectly and he loves it (at least that is what he keeps on telling me every time he puts it on.) Sadly though I do not have a picture of him wearing it yet. I will definitely post that one later on this week so that you all can see it. We then went to another yard sale and they where closing up and they just gave us a few things that we needed such as outlet covers and things to child proof our house for Taylor. Also they gave us a baby swing for outside. We have no idea where we are going to put it but heck it was for free. The Third one we went to Chris only got some peanut brittle which he promptly devoured. Then we went to eat Chris got the all you can eat Steak for $15.00 which was amazing, and I got something I can't remember exactly what it was but I didn't really like it but Chris did so he ate that while I took some of his steak. Then Chris let me get the best and the most expensive cake ever it was call the mile high chocolate fudge cake. Oh it was amazing. Then on Monday night Ben, Chris and I went to a haunted house for the first time in two years and that was a lot of fun. Then my gift from Chris came on Tuesday, it is a video Camera so now I can post videos of Taylor on my blog as soon as we get some Cd's for it. So all in all our anniversary lasted from Saturday all the way through Tuesday.

First Flying Leason

So last Saturday we went flying to see the Tetons up close, Ben and Chris up front and Taylor and Me in the back. Taylor was getting cranky for some reason. I think it was because he couldn't see out the windows of the plane, I say this because once I got him out of the car seat (once it was safe and away from the Tetons of course) he stopped crying and started to look out the windows. After he was calmed down Chris wanted me to pass him up to (Uncle) Ben. So I did and Taylor automatically grabbed the yoke and started to eat it. Chris then made Taylor take the controls and Taylor was then flying the plane all by himself (with help from Chris of course). Needless to say I was a little nervous, but as soon as Taylor was back in his car seat I felt much better.

First time in Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park

(lower falls in Yellowstone National Park)

This past week we went to Yellowstone National Park it was Chris, Ben and Taylor's first time ever to go. I know I know we live two hours away from Yellowstone and have lived here for 3 years (that is if you count the year before we got married) and Chris still hadn't gone. Well we finally went. Chris and Ben loved the mud pots I don't know why considering how stinky they are but hey to each his own.

(the mud pots)

Taylor loved Yellowstone except for the part where we were in the car for forever long. But when we where out he was just a happy boy. He even helped set up camp while it was raining. He is such a good sport.

(helping set up camp)

(he finally smiled for the camera)
Some of the animals we saw where buffalo/bison, Elk, a bald eagle, a chipmunk (Chris and Ben really liked them because they had what they called mickey mouse ears), and a little bird that came and visited us before breakfast, we saw more but I can't remember all of them.

(a buffalo's behind from our car)

On our way out of Yellowstone we stopped and ate some lunch at a restaurant and Taylor ate his first french fries. He loved them and they ended up getting all over his chin.

( Taylor eating his first French fries)

While we where there we hit a mile marker well actually a 200,000 mile marker our Saturn made it to the 200,000 miles on the odometer.

Its been a month now sorry

Alright I am sorry that I haven't written in a while things have been so hectic lately that we haven't been able to get to anything including house cleaning.
A few things that have happened this month are.
1. We have been working non stop down stairs at the Craze Fun Zone where Chris will be the manager.
2. looking for a house and trying to get a loan.
3. Doing the whole managing the apartments.
4. Found out that Taylor's crib is defective so we have to turn it in. this time we are going to get a crib and a pack and play so that we can go camping and have a place to put Taylor.
5. Working some more
6. and more working. Taylor enjoyed it because he got to sit on the mini golf set and play while mom and dad worked around him.
7. On Friday The Craze Fun Zone will be open finally.
8. On Friday my sister Jamie is going to be coming up for my nephews (Logan's) baby blessing and will be staying at our house which means that I have to clean my house really well before then. Maybe I can do some packing also, so that I won't have to do as much later on.
9. Oh Taylor got his first bump on the head. Chris and I where playing some mini golf with some friends before the place opens and well I left for a few minutes and when I got back Taylor was sitting on one of the golf sets and Chris was about to take his swing and Taylor fell backwards and hit his head on the side of the golf course. When I got to him and took him to comfort him he almost made me cry.
Sorry there aren't any pictures but there will be when I have more time to get them up and going. I will write again next week hopefully and then there will be pictures I promise.

June 16-20 and Fathers day(21st), 2009

This past week we had a blast we went to Colorado for a family reunion and my sister Jamie's wedding to Issac Brimhall.
We started by flying out of Rexburg on the 16th at 7 am and arrived in Longmont Colorado at 10:30 man I love flying. As soon as we got there my parents picked us up and we went to the Museum in Denver. Later on that night around 8 pm we hung out with Jared Keith (my best friend in High School) we went to the Fun Zone a place in Fort Collins Colorado (Jared loved Taylor and held him whenever he could).
The next day the whole family (with a few exceptions) went to the Zoo and had a blast. I loved the birds they where so cool looking and I loved the penguins also I guess technically penguins are birds but they just can't fly.

Thursday we went for Family pictures that was crazy and Taylor was the only grand kid that did not cry and that was only because he was sleeping for half of the time the other half he was eating and being as happy as can be. We got a family photo of our little family, one of just Taylor and one of just the grand kids, oh and one of the whole entire family that was fun. That night was Jamie's bridal shower where I had so much fun and Taylor got overly stimulated and had to go sit with his father because he started to yell because of all the noise. Friday we went to my sisters endowment session which was amazing and beautiful.

Friday night we went to my sister Rachelle's Baby shower and had fun at the park that was there and Taylor was passed around to so many people it got to the point that I just had to take him and get him to relax a bit. While I was at the baby shower Chris took up Cody and Armenia (Cody's girl friend whom I like a lot) on an airplane ride. Later on that night I found out that 5 gallons of pink lemonade had spilled all over my temple cloths and had to wash it all out and some of it didn't quite make it but at least the dress did.

This is Armina holding Taylor at Jamie and Issac's wedding.

Saturday may have been the busiest day but it was definitely the best out of them all. On Saturday June 20 my big sister Jamie got married it was so beautiful. Then Issac's mom and dad made lunch for all of us, and as soon as that was over we had to set up the reception before 5pm I am actually surprised at how well it turned out.

Sunday was the relax day and also Fathers Day at the same time how wonderful that was we all went to Uncle Danon's house and played and ate Dinner.

Monday was our trip home it took us about 4.4 hours to get back hey at least it wasn't 10 hours driving with a screaming baby because by the end of the trip Taylor hated the car seat.

What a wonderful trip it was, being able to see my whole family grandparents, aunts and uncles included.

Taylor's 4 month check up

So we went to the Doctors today for Taylors 4 month check up, and this is how he stands for his accual age. Length he is 24.4 inches long so that would put him at the 36.82% for that. Head Circumference is 15.75 inches and that puts him in the 6.61%. His weight is 13 pounds and which is the 16.08%. He is growing so fast right now he is pushing himself around the in circles on his back and it is so cute, eventually he will be crawling and then what will I do. I will probibly start to cry. He can sort of sit up now also, as long as he as something to support his back he does really well but if not he tends to fall over. He is also verry talkitive he will just make nosies even though no one is playing with him.

Here's to Rexburg for the next 3 years at least

This month we had to make a major decision. We had to decide if we were going to stay here in Rexburg for the next 3 years. Chris has been offered the general manager position at the lazer tag/ fun center. It will be called the Craze. It will have a lazer tag, mini golf and arcades. And we took it, can you believe it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Rexburg for another 3 years. We are going to continue to be managers here at 30 college ave. at least for 2 more semesters. Then we plan on renting a house here in Rexburg for the remainder of the time.

As of right now Taylor is 5 days away from being 4 months old and is about 13 pounds, he is growing so fast. He loves to talk and smile a lot, and he is learning how to laugh. It is so much fun because if you through him slightly in the air and bring him down fast he just starts to laugh. Sometimes he gets overly excited and doesn't know what to do and he starts to cry, only a little though.

May 2009

In the beggining of this month it was my 21st birthday, where I was able to go to the temple for the first time since Taylor has been born. Taylor has gotten quite a few more rides in the airplane and Chris has started getting his high performance rating for a cheep price he only has to pay for the gas, and eventually he will only have to pay for half the gas.

Some more things that have happened, We might be staying here in Rexburg for another 3 years. Chris has been offered a General Manager position for the Lazer Tag and mini golf (The Craze is what it will be called.) by Julie and Keith Ferrin, and we might take it, but we arn't sure yet if we are going to take it.

In other news Taylor, I believe has started teething, or at least we believe he has been crying quite a bit and wanting to chew on everything.

The First Flight and Blessing

Sorry everyone, I changed the blogger name and everything because I switched my email account, sorry it took me so long to finally get another one and actually update everything.

So in the month of April Taylor got blessed and had his first airplane ride.

Taylor was Blessed April 12, 2009. It was on Easter Sunday. His Grandma and Grandpa Hargadin where able to be there for this blessed event. Taylor was blessed in a suit that I made for him that came from the scraps of my wedding gown matterial. Sorry I don't have a close up picture of him in it but I will get some from my parents and hopefully post it up for you or if you go to my picsa account which I post every month or so (sometime more then a month.) all you would have to do is tell me your email address and I can make it so you can view them whenever I post new pics up.

This is a picture of Taylor in his flight jacket on the day of his first airplane ride, it was on the 24th of April 2009 I believe. Chris was so excited to finally take his first son up on his first airplane ride. We went up over our building, over Julie Ferrin's house and then over his Aunt Miriam and Uncle Spencers house. And then came in for a landing. He did great, he slept for 95% of the time but he didn't cry or get fussy at all when he was a wake. He mainly woke up when Chris decided to do nul gravity, and wing overs, but he handled it like a champ. He is definitly a son of a pilot.
